Marāthī. kalūnidhi-the only Marathi palm-leaf MS4 in the Pattan Bhandars. It treats of the various Kaläs or arts such as those of the sacrificer, singer, etc. The MS is incomplete but on one of the leaves appears the name of the Vaijanātha who may be the author of the work. It is in prose and the language is the specimen of old Marāthi. The MS though on palm-leaf does not seem to have been written earlier than the 16th century of Vikrama.
Dhūhpryou-a paper MS on alchemy.
Yoyarājatilahn-I came across a paper MS of the work written in old Marathi and preserving the peculiaritic of the old form of the language.
These will be, I think, useful to the student of Marāthi philology
Gujarāti Poems.
1. HISTORICAL. Jambnesväni Rusar-by Dharma, pupil of Mahendra Guru. This is the oldest Rasa in Gujarati discovered till now. The MS, being on paper, is not so old as the palm-leaf MS of Revantagiri Rāsa composed about 10 years later; yet the MS preserves to some extent the peculiarities of the old language.
Reruuntajiri Riisa--the oldest poem in old Gujarati on palmleaf hitherto known. The subject natter being the erection and renovation of some temples on Girnār by Sajjan, Vastupāla and others is historical. The poem was composed by Vijayasenasūri,
