सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचितकर्मभूमिमें उत्पन्न हुआ मनुष्य ही केवली अथवा श्रुतकेवलीके निकट दर्शन-मोहनीयके क्षय करनेका प्रारंम करता है और उसका निष्ठापन-पूर्ति सब जगह करता है ॥ ४८ ॥
. देसणमोहखविदे सिझदि एक्केव तिदियतुरियभवे ।
णादिक्कदि तुरियभवं ण विणस्सदि सेससम्मं वा ॥ ४९ ।। दर्शन-मोहका क्षय हो जानेपर एक ही भवमें मुक्ति हो जाती है अथवा तीसरे या चौथे भवमें मुक्ति होती है । परंतु चौथे भवका कभी उलंबन नहीं होता-चौथे भवमें नियमसे मुक्ति हो ही जाती है। जैसे औपशमिक सम्यक्त्व और क्षायोपशमिक सम्यक्त्व होकर छूट जाते हैं, वैसे यह क्षायिक सम्यक्त्व एक बार होकर कभी नहीं छूटता है। भावार्थ-जैसे किसी मनुष्यके क्षायिक सम्यक्त्व हुआ और वह यदि चरम-शरीरी है तो उसी भवसे मुक्ति हो जाती है। इस अपेक्षा एक ही भवसे मुक्ति होती है। यदि उसके पहले नरककी आयु बंध गई हो तो नरकको, और यदि आयु न बंधी हो तो स्वर्गको जाता है। वहांसे च्युत हो, मनुष्य होकर मुक्ति जाता है । इस तरह दो मनुष्य-भत्र और एक नरक या देव-भव, इन तीन भवोंमें मुक्ति चला जाता है। यदि किसी मनुष्यको तिर्यच या मनुष्यकी आयुका बंध हो चुकनेके बाद क्षायिक सम्यक्त्व हुआ है तो वह मरकर भोग-भूमिमें मनुष्य या तियेच-पुरुष (पुरुष लिंगधारी तिवंच) होता है । वहांसे मरकर वह सीधा स्वर्गको जाता है । वहांसे च्युत हो मनुष्य-भव प्राप्त कर मुक्तिको जाता है । इस अपेक्षा चार भव होते हैं-एक सम्यक्त्व उत्पन्न होनेका मनुष्य-भव, दूसरा भोगभूमिका भव, तीसरा देव-भव और चौथा फिर मनुष्य-भव । दूसरे भवमें कभी मुक्ति नहीं होती है ॥ ४९ ॥
व्रताद्धृष्टस्य सम्यक्त्वं वर्तते यदि चेतसि ।
आर्द्रः सिध्यति भव्यः स चारित्रधरणक्षणे ॥ ५० ॥ जो मनुष्य चारित्रसे भ्रष्ट है, परन्तु यदि उसकी आत्मामें सम्यग्दर्शन मौजूद है तो, वह भव्य अपने परिणामोंसे आई है; इसलिए वह नियमसे चारित्र धारणकर नियमसे सिद्धिको प्राप्त होता है ॥ ५० ॥
सम्यक्त्वकी प्रशंसा। विद्यावृत्तस्य सम्भूतिस्थितिद्धिफलोदयाः।
न सन्त्यसति सम्यक्त्वे वीजाभावे तरोरिव ॥ ५१ ॥ सम्यक्त्वके विना सम्यग्ज्ञान और सम्यक्चारित्रको उत्पत्ति, स्थिति, वृद्धि और मोक्षप्राप्तिरूप फलकी प्राति नहीं होती है । जैसे बीजके बिना न तो वृक्ष ही जगता है, न उसकी पृथ्वीपर स्थिति ही रह सकती है, न वह बढ़ ही पाता है, और न उसके फल ही लगते हैं ॥५१॥
न सम्यक्त्वसमं किञ्चित्रैकाल्ये त्रिजगत्यपि ।
श्रेयोऽश्रेयश्च मिथ्यात्वसमं नान्यत्तनूभृताम् ॥ ५२ ॥ तीनों कालोंमें और तीनों जगतोंमें प्राणियोंका भला करनेवाला सम्यक्त्वके बराबर न तो कोई हुआ है, न है,और न होगा । और मिथ्यात्वके वराबर जीवका न कोई दूसरा दुश्मन हुआ,न है, और न होगा। असः मिथ्यात्वको त्यागना चाहिए और सम्यक्त्वको ग्रहण करना चाहिए ॥ ५२ ।।

Praise for right faith (samyaktv): The birth, existence, growth, and attainment of liberation (moksha) of right knowledge (samyaggyan) and right conduct (samyakcharitra) do not occur without right faith (samyaktv). Just as a tree cannot grow, exist on earth, grow, or bear fruit without a seed. || 51 ||

**52**

There is nothing in the three realms (trijagat) and in the three times (traikalya) that is equal to right faith (samyaktv) in terms of benefiting living beings. And there is no other enemy of the soul (tanubhrut) equal to wrong faith (mithyatv). One should abandon wrong faith (mithyatv) and embrace right faith (samyaktv). || 52 ||
