लक्षं खुचं न गृण्हीयात् कूटलेखं च वर्जयेत् ।
मायाशल्यं निदानं च क्रौर्यरागातिलोभताम् ॥ १०७ ॥

वैश्य लॉंच न ले, और कोई खुशीसे कुछ दे उसे भी न ले । क्योंकि लांचके लेनेसे अपने परिणाम लांच देनेवाले की ओर झुक जाते हैं, जिससे कार्यों के ठीक ठीक होनेकी संभावना नहीं रहती । वैश्य खांटे लेख, तमस्सुक आदि न लिखे, छल कपट न करे, अप्राप्त वस्तुके ग्रहण करनेकी लालसा न रक्खे, परिणामों में क्रूरता न रक्खे और अत्यन्त राग और लोभ न करे ॥ १०७ ॥
किंकरं तु समाहूय दत्वा च नृपभान् परान् ।
वीजधान्यं धनं वित्तं संस्कुर्यात् कृषिकर्म च ॥ १०८ ॥
अच्छे अच्छे बैल और बोने योग्य अच्छा बीज तथा अन्य उपयोगी सामग्री देकर नौके से खेती करावे ॥ १०८ ॥
व्रतधारी क्रियाकारी सामायिकी तपोरतः ।
न कुर्यात् कर्षणं धर्मी भूरिजीवप्रघातकम् ॥ १०९ ॥
जो व्रतधारी है, नित्य नैमित्तिक क्रियाओं को करता है, निरन्तर सुबह शामको सामायिक करता है और उपवास आदि तपश्चरण करता है, ऐसा धर्मात्मा वैश्य स्वयं खेती न करे | क्योंकि सुनी करने बहुत से जीवोंका घात होता है ॥ १०९ ॥
गोमहिषीतुरंगादीन संगृह्य च व्ययेत्पुनः ।
दधि दुग्धं घृतं तर्क भव्यपात्राय दीयते ॥ ११० ॥ घृतस्य विक्रये दोषो नास्ति व्यापारवर्तिनः । शेषं गव्यं न विक्रीत तृणाद्यैस्तर्पयेद्धनम् ॥ १११ ॥
वैश्य, गाएँ, भेग, मोड़े आदिको खरीदी कर बचे और दूध, दही, घी और मठा योग्य पुरुषों को देवे । व्यापारी गृहस्थको पीके बेचने में कोई दोष नहीं है । घीके अलावा शेष दूध दही आदि न बेचना चाहिये । तथा अपने पासके पशुओंको घास आदिसे खूब तृप्त रक्खेउनी भूखे रहने दे ॥ ११०-१११ ॥
वाणिज्यं त्रिविधं प्रोक्तं पण्यं वृषभवाहनम् ।
अधिनावादिकं चेति कुटुम्बपोषणाय वै ॥ ११२ ॥
