श्रीजिनगुणसम्पत्तिं श्रुतस्कथं द्विकावलिम् । मुक्तावलिं तथाऽन्यं च व्रतोद्देशं समादिशेत् ॥ ३५ ॥ चतुर्दश्यष्टमी चाद्य प्रातर्वा व्रतवासरम् । चान्द्रं बलं गृहाचारं कथयेज्जैनशासनात् || ३६ || कथां व्रतविधानस्य पुराणानि जिनेशिनाम् । ग्रहहोमं गृहाचारं कथयेज्जिनशासनात् ॥ ३७ ॥ यजमानेन यद्दत्तं दानं धान्यं धनं तथा । गृह्णीयाद्धर्पभावेन बहुतृष्णाविवर्जितः ॥ ३८ ॥ आशीर्वादं ततो दद्याद्भक्तचित्तं न दूषयेत् । गृहमागत्य पुत्रादीन् तोपयेन्मधुरोक्तितः ।। ३९ ।। गृहचिन्तां ततः कुर्याद्वस्त्रैर्धान्यैश्व पूरयेत् । गोधनैर्दधिदुग्धैश्च तृणकाष्ठैश्च भूषणैः ॥ ४० ॥

ब्राह्मण, प्रातःकाल नदीपर जाकर अपने वस्त्रोंको धोवे और दर्भ वगैरह समिधा (होमादिका ईंधन ) लाकर घर पर रक्खे | इसके बाद यजमानके घर जाकर उसे धर्मोपदेश सुनावे; और ग्रह-शुद्धिके लिए तिथि, वार, नक्षत्र बतलावे; जिनेन्द्रदेवके गुणोंका, श्रुतस्कन्ध, विकावली, मुक्तावली तथा अन्य व्रतों को समझावे; आज किंवा कल अष्टमी है, चतुर्दशी है, व्रत करनेका दिन है, चन्द्रमाका बल, गृहस्थका आचार, व्रतविधान सम्बन्धी कथाएं, जिनेन्द्रदेवोंके पुराण, ग्रहहोम, ग्रहाचार आदि जिन शासनके अनुसार बतलावे । फिर यजमान धन-धान्य आदि जो कुछ दे उसे लोभ-तृष्णा-रहित होकर बड़े हर्ष - पूर्वक स्वीकार करे। इसके बाद वह उसे आशीर्वाद दे । वह अपने भक्तके चित्तकों नाराज न करे | फिर घर पर आकर मधुर वचनों द्वारा पुत्रादिकोंको सन्तुष्ट करे । इसके बाद घर में कौनसी वस्तु है, कौनसी नहीं है, इसका विचार कर वस्त्र, धान्य, गौ, दही, दूध, घास, लकड़ी, आभूषण आदि ठाकर घरमें रक्खे ॥ ३३ - ४० ॥
ददाति प्रतिगृह्णाति सद्दानं जिनमर्चति ।
पठते पाठयत्यन्यानेवं ब्राह्मण उच्यते ॥ ४१ ॥
जो उत्तम दान देता-लेता है, जिनदेवकी पूजा करता है, स्वयं पढ़ता है और औरों को पढ़ाता है, उसे ब्राह्मण कहते हैं ॥ ४१ ॥
पुत्रपौत्रसुतादीनां लौकिकाचाररक्षणम् ।
विवाहादिविधानं च कुर्याद्रव्यानुसारतः ॥ ४२ ॥ गोऽश्वमहिपमुख्यानि स्वं स्वं स्थानं निवेशयेत् । सन्धायाः समये सन्ध्यां विप्रः कुर्याच्च पूवर्वत् ॥ ४३ ॥
