सूक्ष्मकोमलमार्जन्या पट्टवस्त्रसमानया ।
मार्जयेत्सदने भूमि बाध्यन्तेऽतो न जन्तवः ॥६॥ वस्त्र जैसी मुलायम और बारीक झाडूसे स्त्री घरको झाड़े, जिससे इधर उधर चलते फिरते हुए चींटी आदि जीवोंको बाधा न पहुंचे ॥६॥
तत्रोत्यां धूलिमादाय छायायां प्रासुके स्थले ।
सम्प्रसार्य क्षिपेद्यत्नात्करुणायै नितम्बिनी ॥७॥ घरमें झाडू लगानेसे जो धूल-कचरा निकलता है उसे छायामें प्रासुक स्थानमें करुणाभावसे फैलाकर गरे ॥ ७ ॥
गोमेयेन मृदा वाऽथ सद्योभूतेन वारिणा। .
गेहिन्या लेपयेद्नेहं हस्तेनाङ्गिसुयत्नतः ॥ ८॥ ताजे गोबर और जलसे अथवा मिट्टी और जलसे या केवल पानीसे गृहस्थ स्त्रियां खुद अपने हाथोंसे धरको लीपें और प्राणियोंको पीड़ा न हो-ऐसी सावधानी रक्खें ॥ ८ ॥
गोमयं स्थापयेत्सद्यो धर्मे चैव निधापयेत् । .
उपलानि सुशुष्काणि निर्जन्तूनि सुसञ्चयेत् ॥ ९॥ गृहस्थ स्त्रियां गोबर थापें और उसे धूपमें सुखावें । इस प्रकार ये जीवजन्तु रहित सूकें उपलों ( कंडों )का संचय करें । भावार्थ-यह त्रिवर्णाचार ग्रन्थ है। इसमें तीनों वर्गों के छोटी बड़ी हैसियतके सभी पुरुषोंके कर्तव्य बतलाए गए हैं। ऊंची स्थितिके लोगोंको इन कार्योंसे घृणा नहीं करना चाहिए। यदि वे नौकरोंसे भी सावधानीसे ये कार्य करावें तो परमार्थमें कोई हानि नहीं है ॥ ९ ॥
चुल्युत्थभस्मना प्रातर्मर्दयेत्कांस्यभाजनम् ।
पानं वा भोजनं कुर्याद्विना भस्म न शोधितम् ॥ १०॥ सुबह उठकर अपने चूल्हेकी राखसे कांसे आदिके बर्तन मांजे; क्योंकि राखसे मांजे बिना खाने-पीने के बर्तन साफ नहीं होते ॥ १०॥
गृहीत्वा जलकुम्भाँच शनैर्गच्छेज्जलाशयम् ।
शोधितेन जलेनादौ कुम्भान् प्रक्षालयेच्छुचेः ॥ ११॥ जलके घड़े लेकर धीरे धीरे जलाशय पर जावे और शुद्ध छने जलसे प्रथम उन घड़ोंको धोकर साफ करे ॥ ११ ॥
पत्रिंशदङ्गुलं लम्बं तावदेव च विस्तृतम् ।
अच्छिद्रं सघनं वस्त्रं गृह्यते जलशुद्धये ॥ १२ ॥ छत्तीस अंगुल लम्बा और इतनाही चौडा छेद-रहित मोटा कपडा जल छाननेको रक्खे ॥१२॥
