सटीक रत्नकरण्डको छपकर तैयार हुए एक वर्षसे भी अधिक हो गया; परन्तु इसकी प्रस्तावना और स्वामी समन्तभद्रके इतिहासके लिखने में आशासे अधिक समय लग गया और इस कारण यह अब तक प्रकाशित होनेसे रुका रहा । मुझे आशा है कि ग्रन्थमालाके शुभचिन्तक और पाठक जब इसकी विस्तृत प्रस्तावना और स्वामी समन्तभद्रके इतिहासको पढ़ेंगे; तब इस विलम्बजनित दोषको भूल जावेंगे, साथ ही उन्हें इसे पढ़कर बहुत अधिक प्रसन्नता भी होगी।
सुहृद्र बाबू जुगलकिशोरजीने प्रस्तावना और इतिहासके लिखनेमें जो परिश्रम किया है, उसकी प्रशंसा नहीं की जा सकती। इतिहासज्ञ बहुश्रुत विद्वान् ही इनके मूल्यको समझेंगे । आधुनिक कालमें जैनसाहित्यके सम्बन्धमें जितने आलोचना और अन्वेषणात्मक लेख लिखे गये हैं, मेरी समझमें उन सबमें इन दोनों निबन्धोंको ( प्रस्तावना और इतिहासको ) अग्रस्थान मिलना चाहिए । ग्रन्थमालाके संचालक इन निबन्धों के लिए बाबू साहबके बहुत ही अधिक कृतज्ञ हैं। साथ ही उन्हें इन बहुमूल्य निबन्धोंको इस ग्रन्थके साथ प्रकाशित कर सकनेका अभिमान है।
सटीक रत्नकरण्डका सम्पादन नीचे लिखी तीन हस्तलिखित प्रतियोंके आधारसे किया गया है:. क-बम्बईके तेरापन्थी मन्दिरकी प्रति जो हाल ही को लिखी हुई है।
ख-बारामतीके पण्डित वासुदेव नेमिनाथ उपाध्यायकी खुदकी लिखी हुई प्रति ।
ग–श्रीमान् सेठ हीराचन्द नेमिचन्दजी शोलापुरद्वारा प्राप्त प्रति । हस्तलिखित प्रतियोंके स्वामियोंको अनेकानेक धन्यवाद ।
एक विद्वान् शास्त्रीके द्वारा इस ग्रन्थकी प्रेसकापी तैयार कराई गई और एक न्यायतीर्थ पण्डितके द्वारा प्रूफसंशोधन कराया गया; फिर भी दुःखकी बात है कि ग्रन्थ बहुत ही अशुद्ध छपा-पण्डित महाशयोंने अपने उत्तरदायित्त्वका जरा भी खयाल नहीं रक्खा । मैं नहीं जानता था कि जिनवाणी-प्रकाशनके

a- The copy of the Terapanthi temple in Bombay, which was written recently.
b- The copy written by Pandit Vasudev Neminath Upadhyay of Baramati himself.
c- The copy obtained by Shriman Seth Hirachand Nemichandji Sholapur. Many thanks to the owners of the handwritten copies.

A learned scholar prepared the press copy of this book and a Nyayatiirtha Pandit corrected the proofs; yet it is sad that the book was printed very inaccurately - the Panditji did not care at all about his responsibility. I did not know that the Jinavani-Prakashan, which is considered to be a very reliable printing press, would print such a book so carelessly.
