Bhandar
The granth Bhandar is situated in the Jaina Temple of Patodi *L MANIHARON KA RASTA in CHAUKARI MODI KHANA, Jaipur. 1 . There are 2565 manuscripts in tlic granth Bhandar. This number
includes the number of GUTKAS also which arc 308. Out of these about
500 manuscripts are related purely to Vedic Literaturc. All the i manuscripts are written on paper except two "BHAKTAMAR” and
TATVARTHA SUTRA” which are on palm leaves. There are some maps of 'JAMBU DWIPA, ADHAL DWIPA, some Yantras which are on cloth, and some maps are fully illustrated. : The manuscripts in the shastra Bhandar are mainly in five Languages-SANSKRIT, HINDI, PRAKRIT, APABHRAMSA and
RAJASTHANI. . . This collection pertains to manuscripts written by Jaina and
non Jaina authors. Works written by Jaina authors deal with various subjects pertaining to religion such as Sidhanta, Puja, Pratistha and Virt Vidhan and secular subjects like Purana, Kavya, Katha, short kavya, Charita, Philosophy and scientific subjects like grammer, prosody, Jyotisa and Ayurveda. Works written by non--Jaina authors pertains mainly io Kavya Grammer, Veda, Ayurveda, Jyotisa and Sexualogy etc,
The Granth Bhandar is in a good state of preservation and systematically arranged. The manuscripts are placed in the Vesthanas. The complete catalogue of the manuscripts has been prepared and published by Digambar Jain Atisaya K setra Sri Mahavir ji.
