________________ २या (acc.) मडं, मज सं (voc.) मज पुम्बदन्यत् । The remaining like masculine in u. एकवचनं हलन्ता शब्दाः । Declension of nouns ending in consonants. प्राकृते हलन्ताः शब्दा एव न सन्ति । केषाञ्चिदन्य-हलां लोपः केषाञ्चाजन्ते परिणामस्तत एव इलन्त शब्द साधनार्थं न नियम विशेषा लक्ष्यन्ते । प्राकृताचार्यैर्हि केवलमात्मन् राजनित्येतयोः शब्दयोः साधनार्थं कति नियमान् कृत्वा तएवान्यत्र नान्तेषु यथादर्शनं प्रवर्त्तिताः । As final consonants in sanskrita words are elided in Prakita or such words are transformed into others ending in vowels, Prakita granmarians do not give rules for declension of words ending in consonants; some special rules are however found for declesion of átman and Rájan and these are said to be applicable to words ending in n as far as usage of old authorities may allow. राजन् शव्द रूपाणि । Declension of the word rájan.
