About the Authors
Ajit Kumar Shah
Geologist by profession Dr. Ajit Shah received his BSc, MSc, and PhD, in Geology from M.S. University of Baroda, India. He was deputed in Nepal to teach and do research there. He did his field work for his PhD and post-doctoral work in Kumaon, Garhwal and Nepal- Himalaya. He has published numerous research papers. He migrated to USA in 1987 and worked with New York City Transit Authority (MTA) as Geologist for the sub-surface investigations on various projects of new tunnels and foundations for allied facilities.
Ajit Kumar Verma
Dr. Ajit Kumar Verma is a Professor in Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay. He has supervised 32 PhD theses and has over 225 research papers. He was on the editorial board of many journals and is the author of several technical books. He is a Guest Professor at various Universities. He has taught Kundalini Yoga and has a profound knowledge of oriental mysticism. Dr. Verma has been on numerous expeditions in the Himalayas. He is a team member of the Ashtapad Research International Foundation.
Bharat Hansraj Shah
Bharatbhai Shah has a keen interest in social activities and has been associated with organizations such as the Delhi Gujarati Samaj, Delhi Gujarati Kunthunath Trust, Abhilasha ECO Friendly Society, Delhi Heart and Lung Institute etc. He has done solo Padayatras several times which shows his stamina and dedication as a Yatri with a personal mission. He has visited the probable Ashtapad site five times since 1993, researching the area of Mt. Nandi and Mt. Kailash.
John Vincent Bellezza
Dr. Bellezza has twenty five years of experience in intensive exploration and research in Tibet and Great Western Himalayas. He has conceived and carried out numerous pioneering academic field excursions right from 1983 till date. Multi-linguistic with English, Tibetan, Hindi and other languages. He is the author of many books, articles, scholarly papers and book-reviews. Dr. Bellezza is a great scholar, an excellent explorer, a brilliant writer and an extensive traveler, with experiences and knowledge on Tibetan Archaeology.
