ज्ञानी ज्ञान का ही कर्ता है

जे पोंग्गलदव्वाणं परिणामा होंति णाण - आवरणा ।
ण करेदि ताणि आदा जो जाणदि सो हवदि णाणी ॥
अध्याय - 3
(3-33-101)
जो ज्ञानावरणादिक पुद्गल द्रव्यों के परिणाम हैं, उन्हें जो आत्मा नहीं करता, जो) जानता है, वह ज्ञानी है।
अज्ञानी अज्ञान भावों का कर्ता है
जं भावं सुहमसुहं करेदि आदा स तस्स खलु कत्ता । तं तस्स होदि कम्मं सो तस्स दु वेदगो अप्पा॥
(परन्तु
The Self who does not engage in doing karmas, such as knowledge-obscuring karma, which are consequences of the karmic matter, but only knows these karmas, is the knower.
(3-34-102)
आत्मा जिस शुभ या अशुभ भाव को करता है, वह उस भाव का निश्चय ही कर्ता होता है। वह भाव उसका कर्म होता है, वह आत्मा उस भावरूप कर्म का भोक्ता होता है।
Whatever psychic disposition, virtuous or wicked, the Self engages in, he is definitely the author of the disposition. The disposition becomes his karma and he is the enjoyer of the fruits of this psycho-physical karmic matter (bhāv karma).
