अध्याय - 1
मोहविजेता साधु -
जो मोहं तु जिणित्ता णाणसहावाधियं मुणदि आदं। तं जिदमोहं साहुं परमट्टवियाणया विति॥ ____ (1-32-32)
जो (साधु) मोह को जीतकर ज्ञान स्वभाव से अधिक (शुद्धज्ञानचेतना गुण से परिपूर्ण) आत्मा को जानता है (अनुभव करता है), उस साधु को परमार्थ के जानने वाले पूर्वाचार्य मोहविजेता कहते है।
The ascetic who, subjugating his delusion, realizes his Real Self which is of the nature of pure knowledge-consciousness, is verily called a 'conqueror of delusion' by the saints who know the ultimate truth.
क्षीणमोह साधु - जिदमोहस्स दु जइया खीणो मोहो हज्ज साहुस्स। तइया हु खीणमोहो भण्णदि सो णिच्छयविहिं॥
(1-33-33)
जब जिसने मोह जीत लिया है ऐसे साधु का मोह क्षीण हो जाता है, तब निश्चय के जानने वाले उस साधु को निश्चय ही क्षीणमोह कहते हैं।
When the deluding karma of the ascetic who has already conquered delusion is eradicated, he attains full knowledge of the ultimate truth, and is to be known as a 'destroyer of delusion (kşīņmoha)'.
