अध्याय - 10 रस ज्ञान नहीं है, क्योंकि रस तो कुछ नहीं जानता; इसलिए ज्ञान अन्य है और रस अन्य है, ऐसा जिनेन्द्रदेव कहते हैं।
Taste (flavour) is not knowledge because taste does not comprehend anything. Therefore, knowledge is one thing and taste another; this has been proclaimed by the Omniscient Lord.
स्पर्श ज्ञान से भिन्न है -
फासो णाणं ण हवदि जम्हा फासो ण याणदे किंचि। तम्हा अण्णं णाणं अण्णं फासं जिणा विंति॥
(10-89-396)

कर्म ज्ञान से भिन्न है -
कम्मं णाणं ण हवदि जम्हा कम्मं ण याणदे किंचि। तम्हा अण्णं णाणं अण्णं कम्मं जिणा विति॥
