१८०. हृदय में सदभावनाओं का स्थान न होने पर, धर्म भावना खो जाने पर
और अज्ञानता की परिणति बलवती होने पर क्रोध पैदा होता है। क्रोध, जीव को धर्म से दूर कर देता है। क्रोध से प्रीति, वात्सल्य नष्ट हो जाता है, मित्र भी शत्रु हो जाता है। क्रोध के कारण परिवार और समाज भी अशांत हो जाते हैं, जहाँ कलह और बैर विरोध होता है वहां नरक बन जाता है और क्रोध जब बदला लेने की भावना में बदल जाता है तब बैर बन जाता है। वस्तुत: क्रोध अचार है और बैर मुरब्बा है। जिस प्रकार अग्नि से अग्नि कभी शांत नहीं होती उसी प्रकार क्रोध से क्रोध कभी समाप्त नहीं होता, क्रोध अशांति को पैदा करता है और क्षमा शांति का निधान है।
१८१. विनय मनुष्य का सबसे बड़ा गुण है, विनम्रता सुख की सहेली है।
विनय से मोक्ष का द्वार खुलता है।
180. Having had no place of virtuous existences in the heart, having
lost religious sentiments and on being having strong exchange of ignorance, anger happens to be produced. The anger drives out the being far away from religion. Love and affection to be got destroyed from anger, even a friend becomes foe. Family and society also happen to be disquiet due to anger, quarrel and enmity, opposition where takes place, hell gets formed in there, and when the anger gets turned in revengeful sentiment, then it happens to become enmity, anger is rather a pickle and enmity a jam. The way fire is never extinguished with fire, similarly anger is never pacified with anger, anger
produces unrest and forgiveness is the home of peace, 181. Affability greatest of all is a quality of the man; politeness is
girl friend of happiness. With modesty the doors of final
beatitude get opened. 182. Haughtiness drives man to wards downfall; from ignorance
hollow pride happens to be produced, haughtiness is the very
root of the world. 183. Intoxicated under the wine of egotism the man does not like
to hear others, false pride is such an intoxication in which being insane the man does not entreat parents, teachers, and even religion, other's quality also does not appear to be seen
by him. 184.
Affability happens to be destroyed with haughtiness, a humble man bends, the arrogant man has to get distorted. It is imperative to bend for achieving something. Education happens to be gained with modesty: from education knowledge is received and is verily a means of obtainment
of bliss. 185. Haughtiness breaks, politeness connects. Birth of
unreligousness from haughtiness, and of religion from modesty

१८२. अहंकार जीव को पतन की ओरले जाता है, अज्ञान से अहंकार उत्पन्न
होता है, अहंकार ही संसार की जड है।
१८३. अहंकार की मदिरा में उन्मत्त व्यक्ति दूसरे की बात नहीं सुनना चाहता,
अहंकार ऐसा नशा है जिसमें उन्मत्त होकर मनुष्य माता-पिता, गुरू और धर्म की भी विनय नहीं करता उसे दूसरे के गुण भी दिखाई नहीं
देते।
१८४. अहंकार से विनय नष्ट होती है, विनयवान झुकता है, अहंकारी
अकड़ता है। कुछ प्राप्त करने के लिये झुकना अनिवार्य है। विनय से विद्या प्राप्त होती है, विद्या से ज्ञान मिलता है और ज्ञान ही सच्चे सुख की प्राप्ति का उपाय है।
१८५. अहंकार तोड़ता है, विनम्रता जोड़ती है। अहं से अधर्म और विनय से
धर्म का प्रादुर्भाव होता है, अज्ञानी मिथ्यावृष्टि जीव को अनन्तानुबंधी
