अध्यात्मसरवालोकः
. .. 102 By yielding to illusory attachment one destroys one's vitulity [ elixir fluiu ) which is the souros of bodily strength and which develops intellectual powers and charming lovelinete.
वैराग्यपीयूषरसेन धौतमप्याशु चेतो मलिनं पुनः स्यात् ।। विकार-हेतौ निकट प्रयाते, आत्मा स्वयं हन्ति हि दुर्वलः स्वम् ॥ १०३ ।।
૧૦૩ વરાગ્યરૂપ અમૃતરફથી ઘેરાયેલું મન પણ વિકારનું સાધન પાસે આવતાં ફરી પાછું એકદમ મલિન થઈ જાય છે. આ માનસિક નિબલત છે. ખરેખર નિબળ આત્મા પોતે જ પિતાને હણે છે.
103 At the sppruach of temptations, the mind, even though purified with the nectar of renunciation, becomes at once defled again, Indeed, the soul, if feeble, degrades itself.
यथा मनःसारथिरिन्द्रियाश्वान युङ्क्ते तथा ते विषयेषु यान्ति । क्षिपन्ति दुष्टेषु च तत्र जीवमतोऽधिकः कः परतन्त्रभावः ॥ १०४ ॥
૧૦૪ મનરૂપ સ રથિ ઇન્દ્રિયરૂપ ઘડાઓને જેમ પ્રેરે છે તેમ તે ઘોડાઓ વિશ્વમાં જાય છે અને જ્યારે તેઓ જીવને બુરા વિશ્વમાં પટકે છે ત્યારે એથી વધુ પરાધીનતા બીજી કઈ?
104 The horse-like senses proceed to thore regions objects] to wbich the charioteer-mind leads thev, and they cast down the ignorant soul into evil regions, Can there be any greater dependence (servitude) than this ?
जगत्त्रयोशासनशक्तितोऽपि मनोक्शीकार-बलं प्रधानम् । विकार-हतो सति विक्रियन्ते न ये त एवं प्रभवो यथार्थाः ।।१०५॥
