Hunger, thirst, cold, heat, insect-bites, nakedness, absence of pleasures, women, pain arising from roaming, discomfort of postures, uncomfortable couch, scolding, injury, begging, lack of gain, illness, pain inflicted by blades of grass, dirt, reverence and honour (good as well as bad reception), (conceit of) learning, despair or uneasiness arising from ignorance, and lack of faith (are the twenty-two hardships).
सूक्ष्मसाम्परायच्छद्मस्थवीतरागयोश्चतुर्दश ॥१०॥ [ सूक्ष्मसाम्परायच्छद्मस्थवीतरागयोः ] सूक्ष्मसाम्पराय वाले जीवों के और छद्मस्थ वीतरागों के [चतुदर्श ] 14 परीषह होती हैं।
Fourteen afflictions occur in the case of the saints in the tenth and twelfth stages.
एकादश जिने ॥११॥ [जिने] तेरहवें गुणस्थान में जिनेन्द्रदेव के [ एकादश] ऊपर बतलाई गई चौदह में से अलाभ, प्रज्ञा और अज्ञान इन तीन को छोड़कर बाकी की ग्यारह परीषह होती हैं।
