Technique 3: Aadi Mudra Pranayama (primary gesture
breath) Sit in vajrasana or any other suitable posture with the spine straight. Place the hands on the thighs in aadi mudra with the backs of the hands upwards. Do not clench the thumb tightly. Inhale through both nostrils then retain the breath inside. Exhale, and retain the breath outside. Try to maintain the ratio of 1:1:1:1 throughout the round, using a comfortable count.
Continue for up to 27 rounds. Benefits: This practice ventilates the upper lobes of the lungs,
moving energy to the region of udana in the neck and head.
