હું જીવ દ્રવ્ય છું. I am a Soul Substance. જ્ઞાન મારો ગુણ છે. I have the Quality of Knowledge. જાણવું તે મારો પર્યાય છે. To Know is my Modification - state.
જીવ-દવ્યમાં જ્ઞાન-ગુણ છે. A Soul Substance has the Quality of Knowledge.
અજીવ-દવ્યમાં જ્ઞાન-ગુણ નથી. A Non-Soul Substance does not have the Quality of Knowledge.
જીવ-દવ્ય જાણે છે.
A Soul Substance knows. અજીવ-દવ્ય જાણતું નથી. A Non-Soul Substance does not know.
