Paresh B. Shah
Paresh B. Shah has been an active member of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington D.C. since 1998. He started volunteering with the Jain Society through several service projects, such as the Animal Shelter and the D.C. Kitchen for Homeless. He joined the Executive Committee in 2005, and served as Education Coordinator, Vice President and President of the Jain Society. As Pathshala Coordinator, he encouraged the growth and development of future Jain leaders. As President, he worked with the local youth to raise funds to bring the 2014 Young Jains of America Convention to the Washington D.C. Metro area, and successfully hosted the 2014 YJA Convention in Crystal City, Virginia. He currently serves as the Chairman of President's Council, and is continuously working with youth, advocating more involvement from future generations.
He completed his master's degree in physics from the University of Mumbai, as well as his master's degree in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University.
Paresh is working as the Director of Information Technology with HCA Healthcare Inc. in Northern Virginia. When he is not at his full time job, he is passionate about spending time with his family and helping out at the Jain Center.
