Meditation on the Heart Centre
(The Seat of Innocence) The learned, the wise, the adept Serve the feet of that highest Lord, I like a child
Who wants to catch the reflection Of the moon in the water Try to reach Him
In my innocence,
But He knows And, That is enough for me
I, S
Only an ignorant child tries for an impossible task like grabbing the
reflection of the moon in the water. Similarly, out of impudence alone I am trying, in spite of my ignorance, to eulogize you, who has been revered by the gods.

Meditation on the Throat Centre
I have no voice
No knowledge to sing your praise Or no words to express your glory But you know, my Master
The cuckoo sings
Looking at the mango tree
That blossoms
In the spring You inspire
The spring of my spirit
I, S
O embodiment of pure wisdom! I have so little knowledge that I am an object of ridicule for the wise. Still, my devotion for you stirs me to sing hymns in your praise, as the mango sprouts impel the cuckoo during the spring to produce its melodious coo.
