inquiring about your well-being and atoning for any disrespect. Has your day passed peacefully and without much distress or discomfort? Oh! Gurudev, I beg your pardon for any violations of vows committed by me and I will refrain from any unworthy acts like anger, pride, deception, greed, hate, and dislike that violate the right practices of the religion. I will atone for whatever faults I might have indulged in at any time. In your presence, I atone for the same, and I (my soul) will keep away from all such sins in the future.

Ichchham, Khāmemi samvachchhariam Bār māsānam, chovis pakkhānam, tranaso saath rāi
divasānam, Jam kinchi apattiam, para-pattiam; bhatte, pāne; Vinae, veyāvachche; ālāve, samlāve; uchchāsane, samāsane;
Antara-bhāsāe, uvari-bhāsāe; jam kinchi majjha Vinaya-parihinam, suhumam vā, bāyaram vā;
Tubbhe jānaha, aham na jānāmi; Tassa michchhä mi dukkadam. (1)
O Guru Mahārāj! Please voluntarily give me permission to ask for your forgiveness for any wrong doing that I may have done to you during the year. I may have disrespected you or may not have taken proper care of you. I may have disrespected you by sitting at a higher level or at the same level as you.
