To convey t the message of unalterable Ayu Karma and the responsibility of one's own actions, Bhagawan Mahävir sent King Shrenik to Punya Shrävak to buy merit of one Sämäyika. The King got the message that the wealth of an entire kingdom cannot purchase good karma, and that one has to
earn merit on his or her own.
