________________ Twelve Types of Upayog Upayog generally means usage. Knowledge and vision (perception) are the two characteristics of soul and their functioning is called Upayog. Five types of Knowledge: 1. Mati Jnan Sensory Knowledge 2. Shruta Jnan Scriptural Knowledge 3. Avadhi Jnan Clairvoyant Knowledge 4. Manahparyaya Jnan Telephatic Knowledge 5. Kevala Jnan Omniscience Three types of False Knowledge 1. Mati Ajnana - False Sensory Knowledge 2. Shruta Ajnana - False Scriptural Knowledge 3. Avadhi Ajnana - False Clairvoyant Knowledge Four Types of Perception: 1. Chakshu Darshana - To perceive through the eyes 2. Achakshu Darshana - To perceive through other senses 3.
