1 Urva, according to Gr. Bd. Mêshan, that is to say Mesene (Meon), the region of lower Euphrates, famous for its fertility (Herodotos I, 193): it was for four centuries (from about 150 B.C. to 225 A.D.) the seat of a flourishing commercial state.
