(उ.) सचित्तद्रव्य के संयोग से होने वाला नाम इस प्रकार है, जैसे-गाय जिसके पास हो वह गोमिक (ग्वाला), महिषी (भैंस) जिसके पास हो वह माहिषिक, ऊर्णि (भेड) जिसके पास हो वह और्णिक और ऊँट पालने वाला औष्ट्रक-उष्ट्रीपाल कहलाता है। यह सचित्तद्रव्यसंयोग से होने वाले नाम हैं।

The (examples of) Sachitt dravya samyoga naam (name derived due to association with a life-bearing substance) are as follows-A Gomik (owner of cows) is so called because he owns cows (gau), a Mahishik (owner of she-buffalos) is so called because he owns she-buffalos (mahishi), an Aurnik (owner of sheep) is so called because he owns sheep (urni), and an Ushtripal or Aushtrak (owner of camels) is so called because he owns camels (ushtra).
