२६५. (प्र.) नोगौणनाम क्या है ? (उ.) नोगौण (गुण शून्य) नाम इस प्रकार हैकुन्त-भाला से रहित होने पर भी पक्षी को ‘सकुन्त' कहना। मुद्ग-मूंग धान्य से रहित होने पर भी पेटी को 'समुद्ग' कहना। मुद्रा-अंगूठी से रहित होने पर भी सागर को ‘समुद्र' कहना। लाल-लार से रहित होने पर भी विशेष प्रकार की घास को ‘पलाल' कहना। कुलिका-भित्ति (दीवार) से रहित होने पर भी पक्षिणी को 'सकुलिका' कहना। पल-मॉस न खाने पर भी ढाक वृक्ष को ‘पलाश' कहना।
माति-. ।ता को कन्धों पर वहन न करने पर भी कीट विकलेन्द्रिय जीवविशेष को 'मातृवाहक' नाम से कहना।
बीज को नहीं बोने वाले जीवविशेष कीट को 'बीजवापक' कहना। ___ इन्द्र की गाय का पालन न करने पर भी 'वीर वधूटी' (बरसात में होने वाला कीट विशेष) को ‘इन्द्रगोप' कहना। यह नोगौणनाम के उदाहरण हैं। यह नोगौणनाम का वर्णन हुआ। (2) NOGAUNA NAAM

(Ans.) The (examples of) Nogauna naam (non-attributive name or name not in conformity with the attributes) is as follows___Kunt (a spear like weapon)-A bird is called sakunt (with kunt) although it is without a kunt. ___Mudga (kidney beans)-A casket is called samudga (with mudga) although it is without mudga.
Mudra (finger-ring)-A sea is called samudra (with mudra) although it is without a mudra. ___Laala (saliva)-Chaff or a type of grass is called palaala (with laala) although it is without laala.
