विवेचन-सूत्र में औपनिधिकी द्रव्यानुपूर्वी के तीन भेद बताये हैं। उपनिधि का अर्थ किसी एक वस्तु को स्थापित करके उसके समीप पूर्वानुपूर्वी आदि के क्रम से अन्य वस्तुओं को स्थापित करना है। उपनिधि का भाव औपनिधिकी है। यह औपनिधिकी द्रव्यानुपूर्वी तीन प्रकार की है।
Elaboration—The aphorism states three categories of Aupanidhiki dravya-anupurvi (orderly physical sequence). Upanidhi means to place a thing at a point and then proceed to place other things adjacent to it in an orderly arrangement like purvanupurvi, (etc.). The adjective form of upanidhi is aupanidhiki. १३२. से किं तं पुवाणुपुब्बी ?
पुव्वाणुपुब्बी-(१) धम्मत्थिकाए, (२) अधम्मत्थिकाए, (३) आगासस्थिकाए, (४) जीवत्थिकाए, (५) पोग्गलत्थिकाए, (६) अद्धासमए। से तं पुवाणुपुवी।
१३२. (प्रश्न) पूर्वानुपूर्वी क्या है ?
(उत्तर) पूर्वानुपूर्वी का स्वरूप इस प्रकार है-(१) धर्मास्तिकाय, (२) अधर्मास्तिकाय, (३) आकाशास्तिकाय, (४) जीवास्तिकाय, (५) पुद्गलास्तिकाय, (६) अद्धाकाल। इस प्रकार अनुक्रम से निक्षेप करना पूर्वानुपूर्वी हैं। PURVANUPURVI
132. (Question) What is this Purvanupurvi ?
(Answer) Purvanupurvi is like this—(1) Dharmastikaya (motion entity), 2) Adharmastikaya (rest entity), (3) Akashastikaya (space entity), (4) Jivastikaya (life entity), (5) Pudgalastikaya (matter entity), (6) Addhakala (time). Things arranged in such ascending sequential order is called purvanupurvi (ascending sequence).
