द्रव्य स्कन्ध के तीन भेद (१) सचित्त द्रव्य स्कन्ध-सजीव पदार्थों का समूह जैसे-हाथी, घोड़े, किन्नर, किंपुरुष, महोरग आदि का समूह (स्कन्ध)
परिचय-किन्नर आदि तीनों व्यन्तर निकाय के आठ देवों में से हैं। इन्हें यक्ष भी कहते हैं। किन्नर-यह असुरराज चमरेन्द्र की रथ सेना का अधिकारी है। किंपुरुष-वैरोचन बलीन्द्र की सेना का अधिकारी अश्व शरीर व नर मुख वाला है। तथा महोरग महाकाय वाला, नाग के शरीर व मानव आकृति वाला व्यन्तर देव है। किन्नरों का अशोक, किंपुरुष का-चंपक तथा महोरगों का नाग-वृक्ष, चैत्य वृक्ष हैं, ये वृक्ष इन्हें सर्वाधिक प्रिय हैं।
(२) अचित्त द्रव्य स्कन्ध-दो प्रदेशी, पंच प्रदेशी से लेकर असंख्य प्रदेशी तथा अनन्त प्रदेशी स्कन्ध तक सभी अचित्त द्रव्य स्कन्ध है।
(३) मिश्र द्रव्य स्कन्ध-जिसमें हाथी, घोड़े, सैनिक आदि सचेतन तथा तलवार, धनुष आदि अचेतन दोनों का मिश्रण हो, जैसे सेना या सैनिक।

THREE TYPES OF DRAVYA-SKANDH
(PHYSICAL-AGGREGATE) (1) Sachitt dravya-skandh (living physical-skandh)-Skandh (aggregate or herd or group) of horses, elephants, Kinnars, skandhs of Kimpurush, Mahorags, etc.
Details-Kinnar, etc. are among the eight species of vyantar devas (interstitial gods). They are also called yaksha. Kinnar-they are commanders in the chariot fleet in the army of Chamarendra, the king of asuras. Kimpurush--they have body of a horse with human face and are officers in the army of Vairochan Balindra. Mahorag--Mahorag is a vyantar god with giant serpent's body and human face. Ashoka, Champak, and Naag trees are the temple-trees of Kinnar, Kimpurush, and Mahorag gods respectively as they like these most.
(2) Achitt dravya-skandh (non-living physical-skandh)-skandh with two space-points (pradesh), skandh with five space-points, (and so on) up to skandh with uncountable space-points, and skandh with infinite spacepoints are all included in this.
(3) Mishra dravya-skandh (mixed physical-skandh)-A mixture of living things like elephants, horses, soldiers, (etc.) and non-living things like sword, bow, (etc.). For example an army or a soldier.
