The Sangh is like a gorgeous chariot that has celibacy and \i self-denial as its high furling flags, and austerity and discipline si + as its two fast horses. May the god-like sangh-chariot that
reverberates with the sound of gong of self-study (five pronged) ameliorate all.
संघपद्म स्तुति PANEGYRIC OF THE SANGH-LOTUS ७-८ : कम्मरय-जलोह-विणिग्गयस्स, सुय-रयण-दीहनालस्स।
पंचमहव्वय-थिरकन्नियरस्स, गुण-केसरालस्स॥ 'सावय-जण-महुअरि-परिवुडस्स, जिणसूरतेयबुद्धस्स।
संघ-पउमस्स भई, समणगण-सहस्सपत्तस्स। अर्थ-यह संघरूपी पद्म (कमल) कितना भव्य है ! यह कर्मरूपी कीचड़ (कर्म-रज) तथा कर्मजल से ऊपर उठा हुआ है, श्रुतज्ञानरूपी दीर्घ नाल से जुड़ा हुआ है, जो पाँच ॐ महाव्रतरूपी पाँच स्थिर कर्णिका (डंठल-वृन्त) से युक्त है, गुणरूपी पराग से जो भरपूर है, + विज्ञ श्रावकजनरूपी मधुकर जिसके चारों तरफ गुंजन कर रहे हैं। अरिहंत भगवानरूपी
सूर्य के प्रकाश से जो सदा खिला रहता है, श्रमणगणरूप हजार पंखुड़ियों से जो म शोभायमान है-ऐसा अत्यन्त भव्य संघपद्म सबका कल्याण करे। (देखें चित्र ३) 5 How beautiful is this sangh-lotus ! It rises above the slime 51 and water that is karma, which is joined with the long tubular
stalk that is scriptural knowledge, which has five stable
stamens that are great-vows filled with pollen that are virtues 5 and over which hum bumble-bees that are learned shravaks.
May the enchanting sangh-lotus, which is in bloom always due to the rays of the sun that is Arihant Bhagavan and has a thousand petals that are shramans (ascetics), ameliorate all. (See Illustration 3)
