ELABORATION:
(42) Mihokahatim-erotic or evil conversation; irrelevant conversation.
Sajjhayammi-self-study; study according to the prescribed process. In this prescribed process study is divided into five stages—to read, to question, to repeat or memorize, to contemplate and to elaborate. ४३ : जोंगं च समणधम्मम्मि जुंजे अनलसो धुवं।
जुत्तो अ समणधम्मम्मि अटुं लहइ अणुत्तरं॥ ___ मुनि आलस्य एवं प्रमाद का सर्वथा परित्याग करके श्रमणधर्म में मन-वचन-काय के तीनों योगों का यथोचित प्रयोग करे क्योंकि श्रमणधर्म में युक्त साधु ही अनुत्तर फलरूप मोक्ष को प्राप्त करता है॥४३॥ ___43. A shraman should avoid being lazy and hesitant. He should follow the ascetic path with his mind, speech and body because only the follower of the ascetic path acquires the unique fruit of liberation. ४४ : इहलोगपारत्तहिअं जेणं गच्छइ सुग्गइं।
बहुस्सुयं पज्जुवासिज्जा पुच्छिज्जत्थविणिच्छयं॥ जिस आचरण से लोक-परलोक दोनों में हित होता है तथा मृत्यु के पश्चात् Tea सद्गति की प्राप्ति होती है, ऐसे सम्यग्ज्ञान आदि की प्राप्ति के लिये साधु को बहुश्रुत मुनि की सेवा पर्युपासना करनी चाहिए। तत्त्व के सम्यक् अर्थ की जिज्ञासा करनी चाहिए॥४४॥
44. In order to acquire the right knowledge that is beneficial for this life as well as the next and leads to a good rebirth, an ascetic should serve and worship a learned shraman and seek the right meaning of the fundamentals.
