२४ : तहेव गाओ दुज्झाओ दम्मा गोरहगत्ति य।
वाहिमा रहजोगि त्ति नेवं भासिज्ज पन्नवं॥ २५ : जुवं गवि ति णं बूया धेणुं रसदयत्ति य।
रहस्से महल्लए वा वि वए संवहणे त्ति य॥ पूर्वोक्त विवेक के अनुसार ही बुद्धिमान् साधु ऐसा न बोले-ये गायें दोहने योग्य हैं तथा ये बछड़े दमन (बधिया) करने योग्य हैं, भार वहन करने योग्य हैं,
और रथ में जोतने योग्य हैं क्योंकि ये पर-पीड़ाकारी वचन हैं॥२४॥ ___ यदि कभी आवश्यक होने पर बोलना हो तो दोह्य गाय को दुग्धदा, दमन करने योग्य वृषभ को युवा, छोटे वृषभ के लिए लघु, वृद्ध वृषभ के लिए वृद्ध एवं रथ योग्य वृषभ के लिए संवहन-(धुरा का वहन करने वाला) आदि शब्द कहा जा सकता है॥२५॥ REFRAIN USING LANGUAGE HARMFUL TO BEINGS
24, 25. Following the same rule a wise shraman should avoid such statements—these cows are ready to be milked or this calf is ready to be castrated or to become load bearer or to
be yoked to a cart–because they are fore-bearers of pain to ___ other beings.
If at all a shraman has to comment he should use faultless and sober language such as—these cows are heavy with milk, this calf is mature (for the one to be castrated) or small or old or agile and strong (for the one to be yoked to a cart).
