today why are you sad, worried and brooding ? What is its reason ? Please tell me. On this question Devaki began to say unto Krsna Vasudeva-O Son ! really the fact is this that I have given birth to seven sons exactly same in colour, form and body formation, but could not enjoy the childhood days and plays of any single son. You also come to me after six months for touching my feet. Hence I am thinking that those mothers are fateful, who feed their sons by their breasts talk sweetly to them. I am hapless, meritless. Pondering over all this, I am sad,
worried and brooding. सूत्र १८:
तए णं से कण्हे वासुदेवे देवइं देवि एवं वयासी-मा णं तुडभे अम्मो !
ओहयमण संकप्पा जाव झियायह । अहं णं तहा जवत्तिस्सामि जहा णं ममं सहोदरे कणीयसे भाउए भविस्सइ । त्ति कटु देवइं देविं ताहिं इट्ठाहिं कंताहिं जाव वग्गूहि समासासेइ । समासासित्ता तओ पडिणिक्खमइ पडिणिक्खमित्ता जेणेव पोसहसाला तेणेव उवागच्छइ उवागच्छित्ता जहा अभओ णवरं हरिणेगमेसिस्स अट्ठम भत्तं पगिण्हइ । जाव अंजलिं कटु एवं वसायी-इच्छामि णं देवाणुप्पिया ! मम सहोदरं
कणीयसं भाउयं विदिण्णं । श्रीकृष्ण द्वारा चिन्ता निवारण का उपाय सूत्र १८:
माता की यह बात सुनकर श्रीकृष्ण वासुदेव ने देवकी देवी से इस प्रकार कहा-हे माताजी ! आप उदास अथवा चिन्तित होकर अब आर्तध्यान मत करो । मैं ऐसा प्रयत्न करूँगा कि जिससे मेरे एक सहोदर छोटा भाई होगा ।
