horse, human figures, crocodile, birds, monkey, elephant, ruru, sarabh, yak, lion and other animals as well as wild creepers. Mechanical puppets of Vidyadhars were also fixed on it. Besides all this, that palanquin had a glow like thousands of sun rays, so much so that its radiance was difficult to describe in words. Its form could not even be fully evaluated even thousand ways. It had a blinding shine. Strings and nets of pearls also adorned that palanquin. Strings of pearls with golden balls added to its beauty. Haar, Ardhahaar and other ornaments were also enriching its beauty. It was very attractive and illustrations of various wild creepers like lotus, Ashoka, Kund etc. were painted on it. Its spire was covered with fine and beautiful multicoloured beads, bells and flags. Thus that palanquin was fine, beautiful, attractive, pleasing, enchanting and very charming. __विशेष शब्दों की व्याख्या-देवच्छंदक-जिनदेव का विराजमान होने का स्थान। जाणविमाणंसवारी या यात्रा वाला विमान। 'वेउविएणं समुग्घाएणं समोहणति-वैक्रिय समुद्घात करता है। समुद्घात एक प्रकार की विशिष्ट शक्ति है, जिसके द्वारा आत्म-प्रदेशों का संकोच-विस्तार किया जाता है। वैक्रिय शरीर जिसे मिला हो अथवा वैक्रियलब्धि जिसे प्राप्त हो, वह जीव वैक्रिय करते समय अपने आत्म-प्रदेशों को शरीर से बाहर निकालकर विष्कम्भ और मोटाई में शरीर-परिमाण
और लम्बाई में संख्येय योजन-परिमाण दण्ड निकालता है और पूर्वबद्ध वैक्रिय शरीर नामकर्म के पुद्गलों की निर्जरा करता है। वैक्रिय समुद्घात वैक्रिय प्रारम्भ करने पर होता है।
जस्स जतबलं सहस्सेणं-जिसका यंत्र बल (शरीर को शीतल करने की नियंत्रण शक्ति) सहन गुनी अधिक हो। इसके बदले पाठान्तर मिलता है-'जस्स य मुल्लं सय-सहस्सेण' इसका अर्थ होता है-जिसका मूल्य एक लाख स्वर्ण-मुद्रा हो। 'तिपडोलतित्तिएणं साहिएणं'-तीन पट लपेटकर सिद्ध किया/बनाया हुआ। अस्सलालापेलयं-अश्व की लार के समान श्वेत या कोमल। पालंब-सुतपट्ट-मउडरयणमालाइं-लम्बा गले का आभूषण, रेशमी धागे से बना हुआ पट्ट-पहनने का वस्त्र, मुकुट और रत्नों की मालाएँ। गंथिम-वेढिम-पूरिम संघातिमेणं मल्लेणं-Dथी हुई, लपेटकर (वेष्टन से) बनाई हुई, संघात रूप (इकट्ठी करके) बनी हुई माला से। ईहामिग-भेड़िया। सरभशिकारी जाति का एक पशु, सिंह, अष्टापद या वानर-विशेष। मुत्ताहलमुत्त-जालतरोयियं-उसका सिरा (किनारा) मोती और मोतियों की जाली से सुशोभित था। तवणीय-पवर-लंबूस-पलंबंत मुत्तदाम-सोने के बने हुए कन्दुकाकार आभूषणों से युक्त मोतियों की मालाएँ उसमें लटक रही थीं। (पाइअ सद्द महण्णवो तथा आचारांगचूर्णि मू. पा. टि. २६८-२६९)
