२७७. से भिक्खू वा २ अभिकंखेज्जा अंबभित्तगं वा अंबपेसियं वा अंबचोयगं वा अंबसालगं वा अंबदालगं वा भोत्तए वा पायए वा, से जं पुण जाणेज्जा अंबभित्तगं वा जाव अंबदालगं वा सअंडं जाव स संताणगं अफासुयं जाव णो पडिगाहेज्जा ।
२७७. साधु-साध्वी आम का आधा भाग, आम की पेशी ( फाड़ी - चौथाई भाग ), आम की छाल या आम की गिरी, आम का रस या आम के बारीक टुकड़े खाना-पीना चाहे, किन्तु वह अण्डों यावत् मकड़ी के जालों से युक्त हो तो उन्हें अप्रासुक एवं अनेषणीय मानकर ग्रहण न करे ।
277. If the ascetic wants to eat one half, a quarter, skin, kernel or small pieces of a mango or suck the mango he should find if these are infested with eggs (etc. up to cobwebs). If so he should not eat considering them to be faulty and unacceptable.
२७८. से भिक्खू वा २ से जं पुण जाणेज्जा अंबभित्तगं वा ( जाव) अप्पंडं जाव अतिरिच्छच्छिण्णं अफासुयं जाव नो पडिगाहेज्जा ।
२७८. यदि आम का आधा भाग ( फाँक ) यावत् आम के छोटे बारीक टुकड़े अण्डों यावत् मकड़ी के जालों से तो रहित हैं, किन्तु वे तिरछे कटे हुए नहीं हैं और न ही खण्ड-खण्ड किये हुए हैं तो उन्हें भी अप्रासुक एवं अनेषणीय जानकर ग्रहण न करे ।
278. If the ascetic finds that the said parts of a mango are not infested with eggs (etc. up to cobwebs) but are neither sliced nor cut into pieces, he should not take considering them to be faulty and unacceptable.
२७९. से जं पुण जाणेज्जा अंबभित्तगं वा ( जाव अंबदालगं वा ) अप्पंडं जाव संताणगं तिरिच्छच्छिण्णं वोच्छिण्णं फासुयं जाव पडिगाहेज्जा ।
२७९. यदि साधु-साध्वी यह जाने कि आम की आधी फाँक आदि छोटे बारीक टुकड़े अण्डों यावत् मकड़ी के जालों से रहित हैं, तिरछे कटे हुए भी हैं और खण्ड-खण्ड किये हुए हैं तो उसे प्रासुक एवं एषणीय मानकर प्राप्त होने पर ग्रहण कर सकता है।
279. If the ascetic finds that the said parts of a mango are not infested with eggs (etc. up to cobwebs) and are also sliced and cut into pieces, he may take them considering them to be faultless and acceptable.
