__ २७१. से भिक्खू वा २ से जं पुण उग्गहं जाणेज्जा आइण्णं सलेक्खं णो पण्णस्स णिक्खम-पवेसाउ(ए) जाव चिंताए, तहप्पगारे उवस्सए णो उग्गहं ओगिण्हेज्ज वा २।
एयं खलु तस्स भिक्खुस्स वा भिक्षुणीए वा सामग्गियं जं सवढेहिं सदा जएज्जासि। -त्ति बेमि।
॥ पढमो उद्देसओ सम्मत्तो ॥ २७१. साधु-साध्वी ऐसे आवास-स्थान को जाने जिसमें अश्लील चित्र आदि अंकित या उत्कीर्ण हों, ऐसा उपाश्रय भी प्रज्ञावान् साधु के योग्य नहीं है। ऐसे उपाश्रय का अवग्रह एक या अधिक बार ग्रहण नहीं करना चाहिए। यह सब वर्णन वस्त्रैषणा-शय्यैषणा (सूत्र ११८) अध्ययन की तरह जानना चाहिए।
यही वास्तव में साधु-साध्वी का समग्र आचार है, जिसे ज्ञानादि से युक्त एवं समितियों से समित होकर पालन करने के लिए सदा प्रयत्नशील रहना चाहिए। -ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ।
॥ प्रथम उद्देशक समाप्त ॥ 271. A bhikshu or bhikshuni should find if the available upashraya is decorated with painted or engraved erotic paintings etc. If it is so, a wise ascetic should not stay once or repeatedly at such place. Such a place is not considered suitable for his stay. Detailed description of these should be taken from aphorism 118 of Shaiyyaishana chapter.
This is the totality of conduct (including that related to knowledge) for that bhikshu or bhikshuni. And so should he pursue. -So I say.
