२५४. सअंडाइं सव्वे आलावगा जहा वत्थेसणाए। णाणत्तं तेल्लेण वा घएण वा णवणीएण वा वसाए वा सिणाणादि जाव अण्णयरंसि वा तहप्पगारंसि थंडिल्लंसिर पडिलेहिय २ पमज्जिय २ तओ संजयामेव आमज्जेज्ज वा।
एयं खलु तस्स भिक्खुस्स २ वा सामग्गियं जं सव्वटेहिं सहिएहिं सदा जएज्जासि। -त्ति बेमि।
॥ पढमो उद्देसओ सम्मत्तो ॥ २५४. प्राणियों के अण्डों यावत् मकड़ी के जालों से युक्त पात्र ग्रहण नहीं करे.. इत्यादि सब आलापक वस्त्रैषणा (सूत्र २२६-२३६) के समान जानना चाहिए। इतनी ही विशेष बात है कि यदि वह पात्र तेल, घी, नवनीत आदि स्निग्ध पदार्थ लगाकर या स्नानीय पदार्थों से रगड़कर नया व सुन्दर बनाया हुआ है तो साधु स्थण्डिल भूमि का, प्रतिलेखन-प्रमार्जन करके फिर यतनापूर्वक उस पात्र को साफ करे यावत् धूप में सुखाए यहाँ तक का सब वर्णन वस्त्रैषणा अध्ययन की तरह ही समझ लेना चाहिए।
उस साधु या साध्वी का यह समग्र आचार है। इसमें सदा प्रयत्नशील रहे। -ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ।
॥प्रथम उद्देशक समाप्त ॥ 254. A bhikshu or bhikshuni should not accept if a pot is infested with insect-eggs (etc. up to cobwebs) ........ the rest of the .: details should be read as in Vastraishana chapter (aphorism 226-236). The only change being that if oily substance or fragrant things have been applied to the pot the ascetic should find and clean an uncontaminated spot, clean the pot carefully and dry it in sun. The rest of the details should be read as in Vastraishana chapter.
This is the totality of conduct (including that related to knowledge) for that bhikshu or bhikshuni and so should he pursue. ___-So I say.
