The statue was never heard of since then. It is believed that that the same was broken to pieces to convert it into cash. In 1180 AD Jayaverman VII freed his country from Chams. Champa retained its existence till the 15th century AD. Jainism remained the state religion and Sanskrit remained the official written language till the last.
