________________ Madhva and his School Madhva also wrote a Pramana-lakṣaṇa, Kathā-lakṣaṇa, Mithyātvānumāna-khaṇḍana, Upādhi-khaṇḍana, Māyā-vāda-khaṇdana, Tattva-samkhyāna, Tattvoddyota, Tattva-viveka, Vişnutattva-nirnaya, Karma-nirnaya1. The Pramāṇa-lakṣaṇa has a number of commentaries: Nyāya-kalpalata, by Jaya-tirtha, Sannyāya-dīpikā, and others by Keśava-tirtha, Pāṇḍuranga, Padmanābha-tirtha, and Candakeśava. The Nyāya-kalpalatā of Jayatirtha is a work of 1450 granthas; it has a commentary called Nyāya-kalpalata-vyākhyā, by two other authors. One of them is a pupil of Vidyadhīśa Yati, but nothing is known about the author of the other work. There are also two other commentaries, the Prabodhini and the Nyaya-mañjarī, by Candakeśavācārya. Other works relating to the same subject (the Madhva logic) are the Nyāya-muktāvalī, by Raghavendra Yati, Nyāya-mauktikā-mālā, by Vijayindra, and Nyaya-ratnavali, by Vadiraja. Jaya-tirtha himself wrote a work called Pramāṇa-paddhati, which has a large number of commentaries (by Ananta Bhatta, Vedeśa-bhikṣu, Vijayindra, Vitthala Bhatta, Satyanatha Yati, Nrsimha-tirtha, Raghavendratirtha, Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa, Janardana Bhaṭṭa, and two others by unknown authors, the Bhāva-dipa and the Padartha-candrikā). The Katha-lakṣaṇa of Madhva was commented on by Padmanabha-tirtha, Kesava Bhaṭṭāraka, and Jaya-tirtha. The Mithyātvānumāna-khaṇdana of Madhva has at least four commentaries, by Jaya-tirtha, the fourth being the Mandara-mañjarī. The Upadhi-khandana has at least three commentaries, by Jaya-tirtha, Ananta Bhaṭṭa and Srinivasa-tirtha. Both Srinivasa-tirtha and Padmanabha-tirtha wrote commentaries on Jaya-tirtha's commentary named Upādhikhaṇḍana-vyākhyā-vivaraṇa. The Māyā-vāda-khaṇḍana of Madhva was commented upon by Jaya-tirtha, Śrīnivāsa-tirtha, Vyasa-tīrtha, Keśavamiśra, Ananta Bhaṭṭa and Padmanabha-tirtha. The Tattvasamkhyāna of Madhva was commented upon by Jaya-tirtha, Śrīnivāsa-tirtha, Ananta Bhatta, Venkaṭādrisūri, Satyaprajña Yati, Satyaprajña-tirtha, Maudgala Narasimhācārya, Timmannācārya, Gururaja and Yadupati. The commentary of Jaya-tirtha, the Tattva-samkhyāna-vivaraṇa, was commented upon by Satyadharma Yati (Satya-dharma-ṭippana).
