In the beginning of his book Laghusamantabhadra tells how Samantabhadra composed his commentary, called Gandhuhastimahabhashya, on the Tattvarthasutra of Umasvati. To this he prefixed the Devagamastotra or Aptamimansa. Akalankadeva wrote a commentary on the Aptamimansa, called Ashtasati. Vidyananda wrote a commentary on the Ashtasati called Ashtasahasri. 5, 216. Samantabhadra His Ratnakarandaka. 6, 56. See the entry Samantabhadra in Index to Fifth Reçort. Samantabhadra's Yaktyanusagana, with a commentary by Vidyananda, is No. 97 of my collection of 1898-99. A Chaturvinsatijinastuti by Samantabhadra, which is perhaps the book Pathak calls Jinasataka, is in No. 690 of my collection of 1895-98. In No. 684 of the same collection there is a Svayambhustotra, but the author's name is not given. Sarvadhara• Author of a commentary, called Vanmayapradipa, on the Durgasin bavritti. Aufrecht notes that the grammarian Sarvadhara is quoted by Rayamukuta, Bhanuji, Bharatasena, and in the Dhaturatnakara. 6, 18. Sinhadeva Author of a commentary on the Vagbhatalankara. 5, 191. Suryakarasarman Author of the Danapanji. Nararaja, son of Devasinha, to whom the work has been ascribed, was the author's patron. Suryakarasarman was pandit of Kirtisinhadeva. 5, 177.
