He was one of two pupils (the other being Bhuvanakirti) of Sakalakirti, who was the pupil of Parsvanandin in the line of Kundakunda. His pupil Dharmadasa and the Brahmin Mahadeva helped him in the composition of his poem. 4, 144. Jinadeya - Mentioned as the pupil of Vidyatilaka. 4,99. Vidyatilaka is another name of Somatilaka, who is No. 43 in the Tapagachchhapattavali. See Weber, pp 1085 and 1088. Jinapati No 47 in the Kharataragachchhapattavali. Pupil of Jinachandra and guru of Jinesvara. 4, 114. Mentioned in connection with the erection of a chaitya in Kalyananagara in Samvat 1233. See previous Index of Authors. Jinaprabha Author of the Tirthakalpa. 4,91. He gives dates for the completion of various parts of the work as follows. He finished the Satrunjayakalpa on the seventh day of the dark half of the month Tapas (Magha) of the Vikrama year 1385. 4, 92, He finished the Vaibharakalpa in Samvat 13–( the two last figures are doubtful: the correction “shadrasa" would give 66 which does not look right). He finished the Timpuristotra in the Saka year 1251 (-Samyat 1375). He finished the Ashtapadakalpa on the tenth tithi of the second half of the month Bhadrapada, being a Tuesday, of the Vikrama year 1389. Hammiramahammada was ruling. Author also of a commentary to the Ajitasantijinastava 4, 67.
