________________ INDES OF AUTHORS. lxix Narahari Author of a Kavyaprakaśaţika. He gives his genealogy as follows. In the Andhra deśa, and the Vatsa gotra there arose : (1) Rameśvara. (2) Narasinha. (3) Mallinâtha. (4) Narayana and Narabari, Narahari was born in Samvat 1298. When he became an ascetic he took the name Sarasvatitîrtha, and under that name composed this tîkâ in Kâsi. Aufrecht in C. C. says that Narahari Sarasvatitîrtha was the author of a commentary on the Meghadůta, of which there is a copy in the Cambridge University Library. 1, pp. 25 and 74. Narendraprabha Mentioned as the pupil of Narachandra in the Harshapuriya gachchba. He was the author of an Alankaramahodadhi and a Kâkutsthakeli. 3, pp. 28 and 275. Nagaraja Author of the Bhâvašataka. He gives his genealogy as follows. In the Karpați gotra there arose : (1) Vidyâdhara. (2) Jalapa. Described as “ Takavansaprašaśyah." (3) Nagaraja.“ Takavanáâvatansa.” 3, pp. 21 and 338. Compare Bhandarkar's Report, 1882-83, pp. 9 and 198. “The Țâka race here mentioned is probably the same as that to which Madanapala, the patron of the author of the Madanapärijâ ta, noticed above, belonged.
