INDEX OF AUTHORS.
Jivasinhasûri who founded the Sakhâ in Samyat 1331." Klatt On. No. 404 in the GBC. Collection of 1879-80 is a copy of Abhayatilaka gani's commentary on the Dvåśrayakośa.
Jitavijaya
Mentioned as twin-guru with Nayavijaya by Yaśovijaya, the pupil of the latter and author of the Jnânabinduprakaraņa. 3, App. p. 192:
Jiyadhara
The sthaviravali. 3, App. p. 303.
Jaiyata
Father of Mammata. 1, p. 94.
Jñanatilaka gani
Author, in Samvat 1660, of the Gautamakulukavritti. Pupil of Padmarâjagaại. 3, App. p. 223.
Jñanavimala gani
Composed, in Samvat 1654 (1694, 2, p. 65, is a mistake), a commentary on the Sabdaprabheda of Maheśvara. 2, pp. 65 and 124. This writer is probably to be identified with the Jnânavimala whose pupil Srîvallablia wrote a gloss, called a durgapadaprabodha, on Hemachandra's commentary on his own Namamâlâ, in Samvat 1661, in Yodhapura under king Sûryasinha. Weber in his Index of authors separates the two. But the date given there for our Jnânavimalagaại, Samvat 1590, is a mistake. See Weber, II. p. 264.
Jnanasagara
Mentioned as the first of the five pupils of Devasundara in the Tapâ gachchha. (Devasundara is No. 49 with Klatt.) 3, App. p. 226. "Born, Samvat 1405: vrata, Samvat 1417: süripada, Samvat 1441: died, Samvat 1460; wrote avachûrnis on the Avaśyaka and Oghaniryakhi and on other books, Grímunisuvratastava, Ghanaughanavakbandaparsvanathastava, etc." Klatt, Ind. Ant. XI. p. 255. Jnanasagara composed his work on the Oghaniryukti in Samyat 1439. Weber, II, p. 819.
