This teacher is No. 52 of the Tapa gachchha with Klatt. “Ratnasekhara (biruda Balasarasvatî), born, Samvat 1457 (Ivachit 1452); vrata, Samvat 1463; pandita pada, Samvat 1483; vâchakapada, Samvat 1493; suripada, Samvat 1502; died, Samvat 1517 Pausţia vadi 6: composed Sraddhapratikramanavritti, Sraddhavidbivsitti, and Acbârapradî pa.” Ind. Ant. XI. p. 256.
Batnasekhara süri
Author of the Sripalacharitra. Pupil of Hematilaka, who succeeded Vajrasena. He dictated his book in Samvat 1428 to his popil Hemachandra. The Cambay copy was written in Samvat 1430 by Udayaratnagani, pupil of Munisinhasûri. Compare Weber, II. p. 1022. 3, App. p. 203. Vajrasena and Ratnasekhara occur in the list of eminent persons belonging to the Nagpuriya branch of the Tapà gachchha given by Bhandarkar, Report, 1882-83, p. 43, from Harshakîrti. “Ratnasekhara to whom Perojasahi gave valuable garments...Perojasahi must be Pheroz Shah Taghlak who reigned at Delhi from 1351 to 1388." Bhandarkar. No. 1348 of this Report's collection is a copy of Ratnaśeklara's book (correct the entry).

Guru of Vinayendu (Vinayachandra ) sûri, who, in Samvat 1325, composed a short commentary on the Kalpasýtra. Ho was the pupil of Saiddhantika Sii Munichandra. 3, App. p. 304. Compare Weber, II. p. 1209, where Weber mentions Klatt's conjecture that this Ratnasiphasuri is the author of
