70. (i) Devanupurvi Karma-means the set of action-currents which directly leads the jiva to Deva gati or the region of the gods and the demi-gods. 71. (ii) Narakanupurvi karma-means the set of action-currents which directly leads the jiva to the Naraka gati or
hell.
72. (iii) Manushyanupurvi karma-is the set of action-currents which leads the jiva straight to the human world.
73. (iv) Tiryagánupurvi karma-is the set of action-currents leading the jiva straight to the worlds of the beasts and birds.
It is interesting to note here by the way that according to the principle of karmacausality, a jiva after death has to go straight not only to the gati or the world wherein he is destined by the action-currents of its own setting up to move about; but also straight to the very Yoni or womb through which it is destined as well, to take its rebirth immediately after the termination of its past life.
