knot. (c-ii) Mayå Apratyakshyân-means the
crookedness of the mind like that of the antelope's horns which can
be straightened with difficulty. (c-iii) Måyå Pratyakshyan-refers to that
crookedness of the mind which can well be compared to the zigzag course that the current of water takes subsequent to its springing
from a fountain-head. (c-iv) Måyå Sanjvalan-is that attitude
of mind which moves in curves that can only be stretched into straightness like the shavings of wood that are flattened by a slight
pressure. Lobha or Greed is the attitude of mind which makes one cleave to things worldly with a peculiar tenacity as if these were a part and parcel of its own.
