AN EPITOME OF JAINISM. the real and ultimate goal of all that live, move and have their being in the different abodes of the Sansår. Now do we not see that without immortality and re-birth of the Jiva-i.e., without the persistence and continuance of the Kârman-body through the ravages of time and the processes of metampsychosis the whole purpose of such life and individuality as manifest in the incessant struggling of the Jiva becomes absolutely meaningless!
