But the Naiyâyika does not stop at the conception of a mere cause which a purely cosmological argument leads to, but shows that कृतिजन्यत्व or काय्यैत्व (the fact of being effectuated or produced) implies, not only an agent but an intelligent agent-'afe¤ą क्वतिजन्यत्व'.
