VIVEKACŪDĀMAŅI
557 यत्र क्वापि विशीर्ण पर्णमिव तरोर्वपुः पतनात् ।
ब्रह्मीभूतस्य यतेः प्रागेव हि तच्चिदग्निना दग्धम् ॥ ५५७ ॥ yatra kvāpi visirņam parnamiva taror vapuḥpatanāti brahmībhūtasya yateh prāgeva hi taccidagninā dagdham 11
Let his body fall anywhere like the leaf of a tree. Of the yati who is Brahmībhūta (one who has realised Brahman) the body has already been burnt by his fire of Intelligence (cidagni)..
558 सदात्मनि ब्रह्मणि तिष्ठतो मुनेः
पूर्णाद्वयानन्दमयात्मना सदा । न देशकालाधुचितप्रतीक्षा
त्वङमांसविपिण्डविसर्जनाय ॥ ५५८ ॥ . sadātmani brahmani tişthato muneh
pārņādvayānandamayātmanā sadā na deśakālādyucitapratīkņā
tvanmārsavitpindavisarjanāya 11
To the muni who remains in the continuous experience of the bliss of the full non-dual ātman (Brahman). there is no consideration of space, time, or appropriateness in discarding the body consisting of skin, flesh or refuse.
559 देहस्य मोक्षो नो मोक्षो न दण्डस्य कमण्डलोः।
अविद्याहृदयग्रन्थिमोक्षो मोक्षो यतस्ततः ॥ ५५९ ॥ dehasya mokso no mokṣo na daņdasya kamandaloh , avidyāhrdayagranthimokṣo mokṣo yatastataḥ 11
The abandoning of the body or of the staff or the water-pot is not liberation. The giving up of the knot of ajñāna in the heart is real liberation.
560 कुल्यायामथ नद्यां वा शिवक्षेत्रेऽपि चत्वरे । पर्ण पतति चेत्तेन तरोः किं नु शुभाशुभम् ॥ ५६० ॥
