A recitation of the hymn.72
4. Guruvandana-vidhi
Recitation of the sūtra twice accompanied by the appropriate gestures73 and followed by the laghu-guruvandana-sutra, to request permission to perform the rite of pratikramaņa.
5. Pratikramaņa-vidhi
i-ix) The aticăra-ālocană-sūtras, the sūtras constituting the confession of faults (nine sūtras concerning the essentials of the doctrine and of conduct: iñana, darśana, mahāvratas, etc).74
x) The saṁkșipta-pratikramana-sūtra.
xi) The Namaskāra-sūtra.
xii-xxxiv) The sāmāyika-sūtra, followed by twenty-two sūtras.75

So soon as they are purified in this way from their faults, the sādhvis re-affirm their faith in the dharma, and with renewed fervour promise fidelity to all the demands of the state of renunciation; cf. Avas 2731. In the final sūtras, they ask pardon from all living beings and salute once again the tirtharkaras (P 707).
