alms, that is, food131 and other things of which one has need. 132 Bhaşă-samiti, vigilance in regard to language, is also of great importance; one must avoid, for example, addressing oneself to disreputable persons who might arouse the passions, whereas it is appropriate to converse with those who are circumspect and peaceable. 133
In addition to those concerning samiti in its various forms, a heterogeneous collection of other rules is given:
- On the type of candidate suitable for dikşā and those who should be refused. 134
- On the avoidance and pacification of quarrels.135
- On correct conduct towards ascetics who are in quarantine, expiating a fault. 136 If one such is ill, one must look after him; no-one should be dismissed while suffering from an illness. 137
