the disciple of Matisagara, the disciple of Acārya Srimāla belong. ing to the Arungala lineage of the Nandi samngha. His co-student was Dayāpāla. Vādiraja was a sort of title. His real name is still unknown. His titles were Sattarkasanmukha, Syadvādavidyāpati and Jagadekamallavādi.

Vasunandi (11th-12th century A.D.)
He was the disciple of Nemicandra. His other name was Jayasena. His works are Aptamīmāṁsavrui, Mülacaravrtti, Vastuvidya, Sravakacăra etc. The Srāvakācāra is also called Upăsakādhyayana. At the end of this work he has mentioned the lineage of his teachers. According to it there was an Acārya named Srinandi in the lineage of Kundakunda. His disciple was Nayanandi, and Nayanandi's disciple was Nemicandra. He was his teacher
55. Vidyānandi (Vidyananda) (775-840 A.D.)
He holds a special position among the Jaina logicians. He was a learned scholar in the court of Magadha. He was enlightened to hear the text of the Devagamastotra written by Samantabhadra from Muni Caritrabhūsana in the temple of Lord Pārsvanātha. It is believed that he was born in the lineage of Akalanka a little later than he. His main works are: -
1. Pramānapariksa. 2. Pramānamimamsa. 3. Pramānanirnaya. 4. Aptapariksa. 5. Jalpanirnaya. 6. Nayavivarana. 7. Yuktyanusāsana. 8. Aștasahasri. 9. Tatt vārthaílokavārtika. 10. Patrapariksā.
He was a great commentator from Southern India. He composed a work entitled Astasahasrī by combining the Aptamimāṁsā of Samantabhadra and its Astašati commentary by Akalanka. His work Vidrānundamahodara'is not available.
